Lungs beginning to cave in
there's no evacuation, no one left to save me from myself
they all fell away when I begged them to stay
now I don't know if I'll make it through this day
not here
not this place
filled with my anger, guilt, disgrace..
If only I could leave tonight
those memories fading in the pale moonlight
maybe then I'd be free of this tired facade
this lie on my face
that says I've some how got it made
when inside I'm a slave
forced to listen, follow, behave
just appear alright
even when the nightmares have no end in sight
there's no giving up
no, you're not done
because if you are, they've already won
push forward, face the gun
keep a smile on that face
and win their sick little race
