On this day in 1964 The Rolling Stones were booed offstage on their first concert in the United States. A literal group of performing monkeys who had the stage before them were brought back out to perform an additional show.

The Rolling Stones released (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction on this day in 1965. The song was released over a year later in the UK and only on pirate radio stations as the lyrical content was deemed "too sexually suggestive".
