I must be getting old or burnt out on going out. I now have to practically drag myself out. I weigh all the pros and cons and the cons list seems to be increasingly larger.
Did I mention I'm in Rome....?
We've been here for two weeks or so....and while I love it, I'm fucking ready to go home to my couch and my bed. Oh, and my CAR! Spoiled American? Maybe....maybe not. Just used to be able to hop in the car and buy cigarettes at 3am if need be. I can always walk to a Tabacchi machine here and hope that the age verification card from the previous person is still hanging on...but it's usually moot. It's not just cigarettes either...maybe I just miss english and it's stemming my need to be home when I'm practically living 3 blocks from the Colosseum....it's the little things....double edged sword.
Home is a person though right?
I wanted to try to make it to Berlin this time around but it wasn't in the cards, needs to be better planned. It would be nice to know more than one person there.
Big plans are in order, I'll elaborate once they're more.....more.

Home isn't just a person it's everything that encompasses their lives and makes them happy and safe. But yeah damn extended vacations.

wow. I would love to go to Rome. I just was in Europe in September. I know what you mean by missing English. I was in Berlin. It was gorgeous although I was truly homesick for the US after two weeks.
