Firstly, right off the bat, I love this movie. It certainly isn’t perfect. The main female in the movie is purely there to be sought after by multiple men and to be violated in rather gratuitous ways. That being said...this is a movie that knows exactly what it is an leans into it hard. The basic plot is a grad student finds out hi new roommate has a serum that revives corpses. Bloody hijinks ensue. Each scene exists to top the previous scene. The movie is full of camp and even the previous stated violation of female characters is oddly comical in a disturbing way. Most of the script is written as a series of quotable one liners and it’s a delight.
Do not expect high art from this movie. What you should expect is camp, practicle effects, and enough gore that Eli Roth would blush. This is a perfect film to watch with friends and enjoy.
