Hi guys,
Yesterday I volunteered at the amazing FRIEND Farm Animal Sanctuary...it was awesome! I can tell you right now that it wasn't glamorous, haha. Very hard work in the morning but so worth it. We started with cleaning cow pats from the field...it was like a work out! I think we cleared about 20 wheelbarrows of poop.
We had an amazing fire going from lunch time and we all sat round and ate our vegan lunches together :-) It was so wonderful to be in the company of so many compassionate souls.
After lunch we pretty much just got to hang out and pet/ feed the animals, which was obviously amazing!
I can't recommend this kind of volunteer work enough, these sanctuaries run on very little money and resources and really rely on people like us to help.
