The Facebook gesture is done and you may send me the sun, moon and stars (on silver platters) as recompense, but you richly deserve it and infinitely more for being a remarkably delightful and creative soul. I still think that the debt is mine for all the pleasure of knowing you, even in this small way.
Maybe you should get one of these as a replacement? I think they look far more ridiculous than earmuffs, though eventually I stop laughing and start to get a little frightened by some of those pictures...
Good luck with the band, what synth did you get? I've bought my fair share of instruments but never gotten as far as actually being in a band.
beep beep unce-unce noises you say? =] where would one hear a sample of such ear candy? or is it in the facebook link. i should click links before asking questions ^^'
I got the same synth! I bought myself one for my birthday last April. Like you, I came to the conclusion that I probably should have bought the XL instead, but I did buy it for the reason I was told it had a bit more of a retro sound (as well as look). Afterwords I realized I would have liked some of the features the XL has. Or maybe the wooden panels are worth it . If I had gotten the XL I would have probably ended up thinking I should have got the regular.
I've not played with it too much though. I don't know keyboard well enough to really use it as a solo instrument. Heh. But I do still get excited every time I see it being used on TV or in a music video. The National used it on Letterman last week, which was pretty cool.
