If these people want to learn ad discuss with you your beliefs and they want to debate the issues that are most important to you and try to understand your stance on something, then great, you should give them the opportunity. If they are just giving you shit not to learn or understand but just to give you a hard time, then its a diff story. I've come to realize, at least a lot more so than in the past, how to deal with people who are just giving me shit for being a vegi. The hardest part is understanding exactly why you are. And being cool with it. If you have a clear and consice understanding of why you are a vegan and can explain that simply to someone then you're much better off. I'm sure you know its always good to question your beliefs and ideas. The shit-givers help us do that I guess. Alot of people say its great to have different beliefs but not if you are pushing them on other people. I find there to be a fine line btx pushing your beliefs on someone and discussing with them and learning/teaching. Each time I have a conversation of the existence of god or free will or vegetarianism or pornography etc, I am learning and so is the person I am talking with. But essentially we are pushing our beliefs on each other. ok I'm done babbling. hope this does something positive for you. happy bday.

Trust me, I am very capable of handling such people, I just get rather tired of doing it. Even if I just told them I'm not going to discuss it, it gets irritating to know that they exist.

We're on the same page about being vegan. For the most part, people don't fuck with me anymore. They know that I won't take it. I am not an in-your-face type of vegan unless the other person opens that door. And then they are going to hear about it.
Happy late b-day! Pretty shitty about the whole vegan thing. I tend to get into quite a few arguements about it, too. I find that most people are ready to just talk shit and not listen to where I'm coming from. Not that I care a lot. Sometimes I feel like I'm just wasting my breath anyhow.
