I think it is ever the curse of the brilliant artist to never truly be understood by her/his peers ... or for the random few out there, to not have any peers at all. You could very well be treading those borderlands, bucko, but take heart!
If no one else is feeling up to the challenge, I believe I already lay claim to some innate, modicum of appreciation, empathy & whatnought regarding your situation. Tears may not fall, but believe me... I've been there.
Here's another scenario for those who need rough translations on-the-go:
You've just been in line at whatever bank/office/etc. for four hours and thirty-five minutes. You forgot to bring your book, your mp3 player ran out of batteries 3 hours ago, everyone around you is obnoxiously loud & annoying, and there is only one, very slow person working the counter. All you can dream of is escape but you have to get those darn documents signed or you lose the farm. You are finally the next person in line to be served and the sign goes up. "This counter is closed, please come back tomorrow".
Haha....TMNT...that game was friggin tough all together. I liked the 2nd and 3rd games a bit better.
Dragon's Lair STUNK, RPG's are always bloody annoying when the memory card fucks up (and for some reason, a lot of them did that for the PS1).
Text based games were always annoying.
"You are in a room, there is an exit to the North and East, and a candle on a pedistal in the middle of the room. What would you like to do?"
Go North
"The door is locked"
Go East
"The door is locked"
Pick up the candle
"You pick up the candle, and a fire spirit comes and sets you a blaze. You are dead"
Game Over.
Duck Hunt dog.....look around on the web. There's a flash game in which you have to shoot him instead of the ducks. It makes it feel better
Right there with you, dude. I was working at a record store at the time. What was even crazier was when my roommates moved out and I had the place to myself for a month. Just me, the TV, the PS, and a lawn chair with a bunch of blankets on it to make it comfy.
TMNT ruined my life... the only game to make me hate playing video games. that and the dog, first game i ever played and he wouldn't stop laughing. i blame him for my self -image issues...
i understand your anger at not being able to get an image from your head to your medium, happens to me when i write graf. good luck, it'll come out eventually.
Ha! Must be some sort of mind control embedded in the game. I downloaded it a while back but didn't have the proper emulator to play it. Probably for the best, really.
It really set my mind along the path that all RPGs should be at the very least similar to FF VII. Of course, my first love was Ultima VII. What is it about the lucky number seven?
Haven't heard of that emulator, but to be fair, I'm not very savvy in that world.
i rarely ever played video games growing up...
but i've heard they are more addictive than crack
