Interesting contrast, I've never been to Canada. The lack of courtesy I know firsthand though, yeah. I'm a bit of a bastard on a daily basis, but I'm typically a fairly well-mannered bastard... I have noticed that people in the US think you're nice if you're courteous. Funny that.

It's a minority, so it means that they can't ram through some of the more controversial legislation they'd like, simply because all three opposition parties have the votes to defeat it.

And, unlike the Liberals, the Conservatives have no natural allies to help them get a coalition government to pass legislation. They're going to have to fight for every bill they pass.

Anyone who thinks the Conservatives bought themselves a free ticket is either: a) a deluded Conservative; b) a overreacting Liberal/NDP/Green supporter.

Look at the bright side... your plan to learn how to shoot this year is no longer in jeopardy, something that would've been had the Liberals won today.
