It's high time I got off my arse and did a little journal homekeeping. Nearly a month? I wasn't that long when my membership lapsed!
How is everyone? I hope you're coping and these bleak wet months aren't grating on you too much. I'm pretty chipper to be truthful. Touch wood, I've not had the hacking cough which I can hear on the buses and trams lately. I hope you're all in fine health!
I wish I had some news to report, but to be honest, it's been a quiet month of "head-down", working hard routine. Got my holidays on the big calendar in the office, so I'm happily gazing up at them, when things get hectic (I'm sure that's why it's there actually). I've been churning out a fair few band shirts lately. Apparently there's usually a lull after Christmas. I think they were fibbing.
Not much news on the 'girl for Greg' front, but I think this could be my year. I'm not rightly hung up about it, after all I can come and go as I please, book holidays to wherever on a whim. It might be more of a luxury than I first thought.
Did you make any resolutions this year? I didn't as such. I set goals of things I intend to achieve and there are moves afoot to do some of them already. I'll keep you posted
I need to do a MAJOR backup of about 16gb of crap on my computer, you know. I wouldn't really care as such, but I'm buying an official copy of XP when the new one comes out. Hopefully the price of the sheddy one will go down accordingly. I CAN'T put the latest security updates on here and I fear my computer is teetering on the brink of a pop-up abyss NO AMOUNT of fiddling with spyware software will fix. Plus, I think Microsoft deserve a 'bit' of my money for their efforts
So, what's been happening round here in my abscence? To be fair, I HAVE popped onto the site when I'm not cursing the world of computing after work. They've given me a new IMac in work and I think it's giving me more headaches as they attempt to make it more user friendly... Not sure why.
Hmm? Have you listened to any good albums recently? I sent of for a pile of records from Raucous, which are ace. Rev Horton heat, Mudmen, Blazing Haley and King Drapes. Rocking. Strangely, though, I have a couple of mp3s of Nick Drake on my playlist which are some of the most unusual and beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard. I recommend them, particularly his later stuff.
I think I've typed for long enough! I'll go on a wander and see whats happening! See you all soon! Much love.
