I had a cookout. It was supposed to rain, so we made a tent outta a 16x20 tarp. Hung a flag from a tree... it looked like a cubscout retreat. Later that night, we watched the city's fireworks and then after, I went to my friends house to shoot off some more fireworks.

When I got there, my friend's (scott) girlsfriend's (nadine) friend (Andrea I think) was there.... and I thought they were trying to set me up (I don't really like being setup.... unless I ask for it... hehe). She was cute though... I was definately physically attracted to her... but lots of awkward silence... anyways, scott was trying to figure out what was wrong with Andrea's car... it broke down... and he got back. Nadine and Andrea went in the house for something, and scott brought his dog out. Then scott started lighting some fireworks. His dog got spooked, jumped over the fence, and started running down the street. Scott followed. Apparently (and from here on, it's all heresay) someone pulled over to offer to help them find his dog. The chase brought them into someone's back yard, where an old guy w/ a gun started yelling at him for some reason... and then I am not sure if the gun was actually fired or not... but from my impression of his story, it was (into the air?). Then he led them off his yard at gunpoint... where they ran about two blocks to the corner gas station, and waited for the police. Apparently the guy was arrested, and charged w/ a felony, and faces an 8-year sentence if convicted... Mmm... Never a dull moment.

My independe day was totally dull. Did nothing exciting or interesting. Saw a few fireworks from down the street but they weren't too exciting. Though i think they did misfifer a few as i saw the light of them, but not in the air. I hope no one got hurt.
