Oooh would you like to know who that is in my journal?? Alas, I cannot reveal any more than he is willing to reveal, I only follow his lead. He has a rather anonymous existence on SG, and would like to keep it that way. But he WAS around before, so it's not unusual that you would recognize those eyes.
1. Um, I dunno about that noise at all.
2. I am internet nerd, so that counts, I'd be there.
3. Dont need a truck, sowwies.
I usually navigate through other peoples journals until I see a comment that I thought was particuarly intruiging, then I comment back. I might have gotten here that way.
haha i'd join.
im a nerd. haha i mean ive got more than 20 computers in my house alone and i live alone hahaha
and i looked at your pics-
your ex is insane.
youre amazing.
ok back to watching athf episodes for me.
1. It is silly -- it is extremely unlikely that anyone will confuse the two, or think that the Michael Moore movie is a sequel or something.
2. Probably, although the experience would be likely to give me all sorts of flashbacks to being in college.
3. No -- it's hard enough to park my two-door car over here. I'd hate to have to shimmy a truck into the parking spaces at the mall, or down those slender streets.
I've been wanting to see House of Sand and Fog for a while now. I need a movie buddy!
I wish you could come down here more often! You're sweet and funny, and I want to hear more about Japan. You must come to the next girls' night, whenever that'll be.
Jennifer Connelly is an amazing actress! Requiem for a Dream, 'nuff said. I would definitely join the nerds group, hands down.
have a wonderful day pretty!!
1. I could understand why he wouldn't want to be associated with it. I also understand the parallel, and since it was used, in my opinion, paradotically (is that a word?), I don't think he'd have much of a legal case.... silly? I wouldn't calling it silly... now Spike Lee suing Spike TV, that was silly!
2. Call it nerd pride.... for those who are proud to be nerds... I don't much care for closet nerds... or at least not those who hide it because they feel it's a bad thing. I once had a friend who was a network admin at his company... and he kept making one of his female coworkers password expire. Every time it expired, she'd have to see him to reset it... now is that genious or what? Only a nerd would think of that!
3. Never much cared for trucks.... I like something low to the ground... w/ good gas mileage..... Are you selling a truck? Geez, didn't you read Ralph Nader's book? (jk).
The coolest thing happened today, we did this charades thing in speech class. We had to act out emotions at random that were picked by the teacher. I got stupid ones like empathy, apathy, and defensive. This may sound easy, but try it with some friends, it's not.
Nothing else to report on the home front, it seems as if life is starting to go OK...
I know what you're going through with comment #2 in your journal because I'm living it right now too. Its really hard to stay friends with your ex, who after being together for a long time is undoubtedly your best friend. Let me know if you have any advice or need to talk about your situation. As for the questions:
1. yes, its pretty stupid that Bradbury would pull that shit.
2. yup, I probably would join it... I was on the academic and tennis team in high school for christs sake!
3. That all depends.. does it have a gun rack in it and K.C. lights on top? You do live in SC so the answer probably is self-explanatory
hrm..done, done, and..i just might. is it any good?
1. glad you got some time with your buds
2. i don't think that's always the case. i think there are some occurences when things that you love do stay with you. i can't cite any personal experiences, but i have to think that SOMEone SOMEwhere is happy and has someone or something to love until the day he or she dies..maybe even longer
3. *claps twice* never seen the movie, but yeah, she is teh uberhawtnezz..and ben kingsley is quality as well
4. yay! multiple incomes! i know i personally couldn't handle two jobs and school at once, but if you can, by all means do. and for the record, people who stick around coffee houses tend to be pretty damn cool (see SGNC HQ members for proof of this)
5. i'm anxious to see it. i heard this morning a conservative group is challenging it because it's supposedly being used as a campaign against bush, which makes its profits become illegal funding for kerry. douchebags.
other 1. uh, i haven't read 451, so i don't know what's it about..but i think the only reason he would have to be pissed is if the content was fairly similar. but given the productions of the two works, i highly doubt that. so, in short, yes, it is silly.
other 2. i'd so be in..as long as there were other ladies present! *urkle laugh*
