I suppose I'm a mature student now, though I don't feel very mature, hopefully in official terms I'm just a re-admission.
I think there's only one person older than me in this class, and she's much older than me. I actually remember her from my days in Tesco, she used to moan about everything.
I always liked the idea of history of art, my friend started that at St Andrews, and then moved on to History 'proper'. He's doing a phd now, so there's hope for you yet
I studied Philosophy, but then moved onto my current punishment of choice, Hispanic Studies.
And pointless, or not, you've got to study something that stimulates you, otherwise it becomes difficult, or even impossible, to finish.
It was a traumatic televisual experience to say the least but I'm over it now, just about.
I've totally laughed in someone's face like that too. It's so embarassing and you wish you could take it back but you just can't. It's happened and that's the way shit went down. It's part of the actual history of the world now. It's even worse if you like them too because now you have to tell them you like them as well and they'll either not believe you or laugh back in your face and make you feel even worse.
Just take solace in the fact that I'm out there in the world and I consistently look more foolish than you did in that moment.
Ahhhh... great. I managed to make myself look the fool (it's a talent I've taken time to perfect). You hadn't even noticed the spelling mistakes. Lol. Did he cry when you laughed? That means he loves you. Also if you trip over as you run away, that makes them love you more .
Oh dear, sounds very familiar to me! Seriously, I was absolutely crazy about a guy for years but nothing ever happed between us although I am quite sure that he liked me - every time he tried to make a move I fucked things up, and laughing right into his face was one of the more harmless things I did.
You're not alone! Hope it will all turn out fine though x
