If your daughter was already curious, she just would have found another way to get access to what she wanted to know. I think it's good that you are able to be open enough to discuss this with her and help her make appropriate choices.
welcome to the site & the blogosphere. I saw your post yesterday in the Geezer's group & thought then how cool it was that you & your daughter have such a close relationship. I'm also the proud parent of a recently teenage girl - - and while I don't think she's quite there yet, I agree on the knowledge = empowerment idea. Really, our goal all along has been to raise a healthy, and strong willed person, who will confront the sex/substance use, etc., issues on her own terms and when she feels ready (and hopefully safely). I think that's all we can ask as parents. Again, kudos to you on raising such a self-aware kid, and again, welcome. I hope you enjoy your SG experience.
Welcome to the site. You did better with your first blog than I did. I think its great that you are that open with your kiddo. Most people would try to hide this site from them thinking it would make them look at them in a whole new way. I hope that me and my daughter have a relationship that is that close when she reaches that age. Once again welcome to the site, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. I will be looking forward to the set if your daughter ever talks you into it.
I understand you and more yet, I believe that Elizabeth is the Luckyest girl in the world. Knowldge is the key for so many things. Be away from the dark side of the ignorance is the answer to a world still full of prejudice.
And Your blog is good. You might only write more, try to be regular and you will be good.
