According to my philosophy teacher, I am rude and hostile. *chuckle*
Apparently people even complained about me in the last philosophy class that I took! It seems that I am to hostile or confrontational or lacking in respect for the opinions of others or something to that effect. Crazy eh?
Anyway, I don't think it's true. Well, I may interrupt people occasionally (which is potentially a little rude) and talk without putting up my hand (which is a bizarre requirement given the nature of the class), but few people I know would describe me as rude. It may simply be because I am an atheist and a skeptic and willing to actively argue for my position that people have complained. I mean, if I am going to poke holes in your arguments and say that I believe that you are wrong, you may get a little upset. *shrugs*
Anyway, I will try to be a little more superficially polite (raising my hand, not interupting), since that was really just a product of not suppressing my impluse to express a thought when it occurs to me. He seemed to think it was something a little more fundamental than that though, and thought it odd that I am not really divided on any issue.
