Maybe they're really big squirrel rats with wings...and cat claws.

And I bought boots yesterday...ones that go up my calf. I intend on spraying them with a certain anti-wet shoe spray I found in my closet.

Squirrels have pretty heavy steps; if they're really light or scratchy, I'd guess mice.
