so i started teaching today. not bad for being unemployed as of friday. i just had some training and actually have my first class on thursday, but still. the unexpected joys of my life. so the kids have awful behavioral problems and probably read at a 4th grade level, which should make them learning drama and theater in 11th and 12th grade a lot easier. have i mentioned i never taught before? krikies. anyone have any advice? or just want to tell me im stupid. the forum is now officially open......

My advice?
Don't expect much. The average eleventh and twelfth grade student is about as dumb as a rock, and he/she will still most likely have this kind of superiority complex that you will be reminded of on a daily basis. They know everything, you know nothing. They will do as they please, and there is little you can do to get through to them.
How's that for advice?
