I've thought about the dogs idea , but I'm not to fond about having to worry about stepping in dogshit , I am putting a fence around the pond for insurance reasons , plus there may be a city ordinance that requires one cause they make us fence our pools in so noone can accidentally fall in and drown . I'm more worried about having a flock of canadian geese adopt my pond as their new home , with them shitting everywhere the pond will be polluted in no time , a propane cannon works good though it can be annoying , and eating goose for dinner every night would grow old real fast

If you don't kill the canadian geese before they are six months old the meat becomes so tough all you can do is make jerky , soups , and stew . A good friend of mine tried making the jerky several times and it never was very good . I used to have too deep fry my turkeys that I hunted cause that was the only real way I could get anyone to eat them . There is a couple of HUGE pheasants running aroud out back , they are native so they are twice the size of the puny stocked birds , and boy do they taste good

OH , our governor just raised the taxes on the smokes up here so now they are like five bucks a pack
