First off, thanks for all of the well-wishes, esp. dkmfc and mylf. I needed some encouragement. Thank you guys.
So Dad and Mom just left for the hospital...I have to go to work today (of all goddamn days to deliver the rent check...sheesh) and I'm procrastinating. I do have to go soon but not without a quick but verbose recap of yesterday.
I arrived late to my first class (due to traffic and a partial relapse of the pervious day's breakdown and traffic), problems in pollution, only to find that the prestigious educational institution that I pay shitloads of hard-earned money to attend conveniently forgot to assign a professor to the class. That was good since I walked in half an hour late! As far as anyone knows I was on time....hahaha! So they only kept us until about 9:45 and then we were free to go. Great, I said, I am free until noon now. What do I do in the interim? Go get my car washed, inside and out. Cuz damn. So the car is clean and clutter-free...what a great way to begin the semester.
I went back to school to kill some time in the computer lab...check e-mail, etc. Well, at 11:45 I got up to go to my next class (I'm not even saying what it is). after that early dismissal, I walked back to my car because I was free until 6:00. Time to go get some lunch! Yeah, right. So, I pulled up to Trader Joe's and I went to make sure I had my wallet and enough money to buy what I wanted.
Ready for the kicker?
MY FREAKING WALLET WAS STOLEN!
So there I was, no money, just over 1/4 tank of gas, no ID, license, registration, insurance, debit card, credit card, blood donor card, blockbuster card, nothing. I went back to school and canvassed every place I thought I could have left it, dropped it, I asked in the computer lab if anyone had turned it in, and of course no one had. So I went to security. They took a report. I called my bank in the interim to stop my ATM and Debit cards from being used. That was at about 12:45. I didn't leave until 4:15, after campus security had taken their report, and the director of security (he rocks, by the way) thought it was best to get a police report since all of my stuff was in there. So I got the police report from the officer on campus (he rocks, too) and after all of that was done I was able to go home (while committing like 800 crimes) and explain to my dad just how wonderful my day was going.
The good news is that I've already obtianed new insurance cards (USAA is the best insurance company EVER), and dupes of my license and reg will only cost me $13. I can get them online- so I have to wait until my new debit card comes, but it won't be as big of a pain in the ass this time. (My car was broken into a few years ago and my wallet stolen, but only with my license & frequent car washer card in it).
Oh, and my Police Supervision class is cool but I know the professor already and there are only 15 kids in it with me, so I can't get away with anything! *snaps fingers* Oh, damn.
Alright, so this week can only get better. That's the good part.
Leave love.
