dude you've just got no luck lately.. i did my knee playing soccer when i was a kid, bruised all the tissue in my left knee, now its all fucked up if i do any running or jumping.. sucks ass..
That brings back memories. My knee got knocked out of place when some fat kid fell on me in the middle of a soccer game. Fun stuff. And if you can e-mail me a pound of topspoil, you'd be the bees knees
Thanks for the piece on the deficit. I hope you don't mind my shortening it a bit - the article you submitted would have made a nice feature piece, I'm just trying to squeeze it into the blog format. Anyway, it's well documented and researched, which is more than I can say for about 97% of the typical posts on CE. So thanks again, it's helping me out a lot having people send in submissions.
I just dropped a note in legionnaire's journal, thought I'd pop one to you too. Just want to say nice work with the columns. I've been a lurker lately, but reading the stuff you guys have been putting up in your categories.
I agree that things tend to be a bit US focused, so every day I try to find at least one article off of the BBC that has nothing to do with the US (or Iraq) but some news days are slower than others.
I've looked for the article that you were talking about but haven't found it - which is odd, considering it would be very appropriate for the section. This isn't the first time this has happened - the problem is that I don't know whether Sean deleted it (he's been helping out with politics in lieu of another full-time editor) or it somehow didn't get submitted. The same thing happened with an article teclo submitted a few days ago. Let me know if it happens again, I'll bring it up.
That story you submitted is brilliant - I can't wait to see the fallout from all of the pro-gun nutcases on that one. I'd so tired of them dragging out the same, sorry statistics that "show" how reducing guns increases crime and the inverse.
Look, just admit it...that didn't really happen. It's okay.
