You know we hardly ever have serious discussions about stuff like that. Oddly enough we never see eye to eye on things. Big things anyway. I love her but she's got some screwed up ideas. But then again I am sure that she thinks the same thing about me. And yeah she grew up in the suburbs. Not like the rich bitch suburbs but still far enough from the inner city where I live. She hates coming into the city. Hates it.
I hate the corporate world. I hope to never go back there.
Yeah I know what you are saying. There is and always will be differences. What starting the conversatioon was when we went to see this band play last weekend we went to this total white trash hole in the wall biker bar. To me everyone was hateful. Rude. Evil looks. blah blah. I was not having a good time. That was just one of the reasons. This place was pretty ick. So when I told her the reasons I didn't have a good time she got angry when I got to the part about people not liking me being there. She said that was ridiculous and there was at least 2 other black people there. Basicaly I was imagining the whole thing. And she has a black coworker who is apparantly stirring things up at the job because she feels she is being discriminated against. Where as my friend thinks it is just because she is lazy and not getting her way. So she wanted to know why black people always claim racism. Now I admit that some of us over react and have the massive I was kept down by the man chip on our shoulders. BUT not all racism these days is imagined. Mostly it is hidden. Why because it is illegal to openly discriminate. Eh. I am not sure when she and I will pick this topic up again. She said my comments "really bothered" her and I am going down a very negative path. *shrugs*
