Well, I've probably got a bit of a different situation most likely, since I'm younger and still live with parents over holidays from school. But honestly, I just told my mom and dad. I didn't WANT to tell my dad, but, uh, he saw my credit card bill and noticed plane tickets, so I just came out and said it. My parents both freak out and want every phone number and address when I go up to NY for SG stuff... but that's fine with me, and I'd rather them have all that info just in case.
You're of age to do as you want, so if your parents are like mine they'll realize its your life and they can't dictate what you do with it. But really... make sure you give someone the info of where you will be and some phone numbers, just in case. Better safe than ass up in a rain gutter with your head cut off, no?
Well, if you are going to tell her, emphasize how it's an online community for body piercing and tattoos. My mum knows all about SG, and understands it is a community, not just a bunch of monkey-spankers
