For more friends darling, join some groups (there's hundreds of them) and talk about your interests with other people. Also surf the boards and comment and stuff...nobody will know you're here if you never say anything. And also, like jezika said, just read the journals of people you find interesting and leave them comments.

Here's a couple groups you should join:

Black Magic Women - Black folks, not just women. Come in and start a thread to say HI.

Suicide Blacks - Also introduce yourself. This group is newer than Black Magic Women, so it's got a lot less members and topics. But still drop in and say hi!

Urban Poetry Cafe - I know you write poetry. This is where you post it and also read others' poetry.

SG Charm City - Our regional group. They have game nights every month, and kamikaze karoake every Tuesday, plus other random get-togethers and parties. I haven't attended anything yet, but I will if you come with me! It's a private group, and if you don't meet all the criteria (I don't remember what they are), it doesn't matter because I can vouch for you. You'll get in.

The Simpsons - The Simpsons. Of course.

Like I said, there's TONS of groups out there. Just go looking and join according to your interests. Post darlin! Nobody will know that you're here if you stay silent.
