So apparently I'm a gem!
This is according to my bosses wife who I sent flowers to yesterday because it was her brothers funeral and she was having a really hard time with it. He was an alcoholic and hadn't had contact with his wife, kids and friends for many many years so my boss and his wife had to organise everything when he passed.
Also what i think made it a bit hard is that she doesn't work and so she doesn't have any work colleagues who'll give her a random hug.
So instead I did the random kindness thing - which I love doing because its so unexpected! Not that I'm a mean person but I am quiet and I think that the best things in life, the things that make the most impact are unexpected and show that even if you're far away you still care.

She called me this morning and told me I was a gem and it made her cry a little bless, i said I didn't want to upset her and she was very insistent that the tears were happy ones and it was just nice that someone cared and was thinking about her.

I've done my good deed for the week
