I finally updated the album today with shots from the rest of our trip. We took over 1000 photos on the Nikon alone. It was a lot to sift through. I may add more if I find them on random devices (we had like...10 cameras total). They started out in order, but didn't end up that way during the upload, so its not really a...

2 weeks on the road, over 3000 miles put under the tread of my tires, and I'm finally back in Seattle.

Honestly? I could do it again; right now. I'd probably pack lighter though. It's been an incredible journey with great friends and I look forward to next year's trip. Hopefully we will do some smaller trips sometime later this year as well. Who knows....

Todays ride wasn't far, but it was long. Slow vehicles, holiday traffic, and a few stops for pictures (which I will upload when I'm home).

My exhaust came off the header pipes today, so that was cool. We tightened it back on, but by the time we arrived it once again had come loose. Tomorrow morning we will put it back in place, then I'll...

We had a decision to make, today, on how far to go on our ride. If we decided to head farther than Coos Bay, we would be pretty exhausted, but make it home a day earlier. If we decided to stop the night in Coos Bay, then we would retain our estimated arrival date of Friday.

Weather ended up deciding for us. What started off...

We are in Eureka today! I almost took a spill around a corner. I was leaned into a hairpin turn when the pavement dipped inwards, and had some debris in it. My tires slid out into the other lane and took myself and the bike with them. If I hadn't been properly leaning, and looking at my exit vector, I would've eaten shit right there....

We rode from Cambria with it's beautiful beaches, through San Francisco (across the Golden Gate bridge of course), and down the 20 to Fort Bragg.

It was another day of hard riding punctuated by moments of glory. There were big, sweeping, high speed turns where I could hang off the side of my bike, and nearly all of 20 was a crazy, wrist aching, twist...

We rode from San Diego to Cambria today, a distance of 300 miles. Not gonna lie, my ass is a little saddle sore from it. Over the years I have developed a pretty good tolerance for longer rides, despite riding a supersport bike, but even I get a little tired after a while. I could've gone longer, but my buddies can only do so much...

We are spending the day in San Diego again. Last night we ate at a place called Dan Diego's, which was AMAZING. If you are in the area, eat there. We ate dinner then returned for breakfast. Everything was fantastic and the staff is great. We met the father of the owner, who chatted with us about the road for a while. If I lived...

We finally made it...San Diego. My buddy has been trying to make it here on his motorcycle for 5 years. I've been here for 3 of them. There were always circumstances preventing us from making it, but this time we did it.

We made it through a number of towns, stopped at a bike shop for a chain clean and servicing, met up with my...

We burned it down to Santa Barbara today. It was a decidedly unexciting ride through some hot temps (for a Washingtonian) and virtually no scenery. There was, however, an abundance of assholes talking on their cell phones while driving. They soon found out it's hard to maintain a phone conversation when the sport bike next to your driver side window is revbombing you at fourteen...

We stayed a second day in Santa Cruz to do laundry, rest for a bit, and visit the boardwalk. Laundry was blaise of course, but the boadwalk was fantastic. I ate a doughnut the size of my face and it was delicious, as well as picked up some random shark toys to go with the T-Rex mounted on my bike.

Santa Cruz is a nice...

That quote has always stuck with me: "Everything you've even wanted, lies on the other side of fear." I can attest to the truth of that statement.

Today's stretch of road is extremely technical, to say the least. It has fishhook turns, sweeping turns, corners that you enter at a downward angle and exit pointing up the mountain...all of this combined with dirt on the...
