Thanks for all the congrats, and here's more news; I've gotten into all the programs I've applied to so far! Granted that is only three, and I'm waiting to hear from one more in the next month, but godDAMN it is a huge relief. I think I said that already. I think I'm a little bit drunk.

I'm in the messy/scary process of trying to procure funding for the next five years. In answer to your question, the field is in the social sciences, with some geographic information systems, public policy, and social theory thrown in. WOohoO! But if I don't get paid to study, I'll have a hard time of it. May mean another set is in order.

If THAT's the case, I'm contemplating ideas once again. I want to do something messy and tiring, because the most fun things in life are, but perhaps a relaxing bathtub scene would be nice too? If only because there is hardly anything better than waking up at 6 AM, slipping into a clawfoot tub overlooking the sun rise over snowy mountains, resting sore muscles before beginning a day of cross-country skiing. Right?
