I used to live in a small town in Vermont, where all local political decisions were made in an annual, very caucus-like ruckus of a town meeting. There is something to be said for that kind of pure democracy...plus, ruckuses are just plain fun

'Caucus' and 'ruckus' are both words that should be used more often, if only because they sound funny.
