You know my vote. And I just realized that I never answered your question about music in Scotland. I don't know TOO much about it, but yes, I do know that there is certainly a thriving scene.

Edinburgh is the best. It's got some amazing architecture and people. It's an easy train-ride to London if you feel like it, or to the Highlands if you feel like it. It's a city, but didn't strike me as being so dirty and urban as some cities. Good food, good music good people, good times! kiss
_sarah_:
Edinburgh. For sure.

And I am coming to visit you. Plan on it now. biggrin

Costa Rica was one of my favourites, as well as New Zealand, and the Cook Islands.

Glad someone reads me that early in the morning. wink

Yes, definitely live. It was so very sad, when I was seaching for a good image, I kept getting pictures like this:

puke

They speak more English in Croatia than in Spain? surreal
cyprian:
A language barrier should be a plus, not a minus. When hardly anyone speaks your language it's likely that those who do will actually have something to say.

That sounded dickish, but it is cool to lose yourself in a crowd of people who are jabbering guttural syllables you can't make heads or tails of. Kind of like being in a roomful of politicians, except less soul-devouringly depressive. And the native English speakers you meet in those countries will likely have great stories and/or a bit of hash. When in doubt, Bangkok.

Hey smile thanks for the comment, it's much appreaciated! As to the moving part; Amsterdam, particularly the centre, doesn't give a very good view of what Holland is like. In my opinion anyway. Some other big cities are equally beautiful and with less drug addicts and other scum wink. Delft is a really nice place to live and so is Den Haag, Utrecht and Maastricht. Those are big cities though, I'm not very familiar with smaller places, but from the 'big' cities we have I really like those. When you're in the Netherlands, I suggest seeing more than just Amsterdam wink
cyprian:
Happy New Year, boyo.
_sarah_:
Happy birthday!!!
amstar:
happy birthday smile

The universe is not happening to you, it is happening through you.

I read something similar this morning. It's such a simple truth, yet so simple to forget!
kristie:
Thanks for the add!

I can't remember how I found you, but after I requested friendship I saw the pics of your sleeve. I realized that I recognized you from the tattoo group. Your sleeve is phenomenal! I'm working on a pin-up rib piece now, and will be starting a 3/4 sleeve very soon.

Glad you liked my journal; it was a serious brain dump. Look forward to talking to you. smile
