My Grandmother got diagnosed with Lung Cancer yesterday. They don't know enough from the biopsy to tell her what type or stage. She's supposed to go to a Thoracic Surgeon for a consultation. They want to take a part of her lung to find out what kind. She isn't sure if she wants to have the surgery done. She always said if she got Cancer she wouldn't go through Chemo. I think a lot of that has to do with what she saw her sister my Great Aunt Edna go through.
My Grandma is one of the strongest people I know. She's been through a lot. From losing her Father early in life, to burying 4 of the 6 of her children, to losing her best friend/sister to Cancer. She's also one of the kindest people you could meet. I've never seen her show distaste for anyone. She's always there for everyone in the family. She's the person who really keeps the family together.
I really can't think of much to say right now. I'm still trying to take it all in. It's just nice to have a place to talk about things if I need to.Even if no one reads it.
