I stopped drinking for almost a year a while back and it was the best thing I ever did. Now I really enjoy the odd drink but I don't need it on every occasion. I learnt how to go crazy and be myself at the club without booze. I highly recommend trying it! Xx
oh no! been there...like, last weekend. oh, the shame. i just try to remind myself that everyone else was probably drunk too (hopefully)...except my husband, who doesn't drink and who loves to say "wanna know what you did last night?" whereupon I scream and run away. i hope you feel better!
I've rarely blacked out when I crossed the line but I've had enough hangovers to steer me away from the point of no return. Feel better and I hear drinking Gatorade helps!
The great thing is that we can learn about ourselves, both as individuals and a species, and lose the need to lower our inhibitions with alcohol so that we can have a good time, hang onto our livers for future use and also drive home arriving in one piece into the bargain. Then there's the financial saving, so it's a multiple win. I don't resist alcohol, I just don't get anything out of it, so I know whereof I speak. Well, write, I suppose. You get the idea. ;)
Been there. The question to ask yourself is this - were you blowing off steam, or was this the result of damage more deep and permament? If so, don't let yourself go to the dogs. If not, take the ibuprofen and go back to bed :)
