Every time I used to have someone else sleeping in the same room as me, I'd wake up in the middle of the night with a body over me screaming at me to breathe. Sometimes I'd wake up with people slapping me and trying to throw water on me and generally freaking out.

I actually understand that urge. Except that I generally put my arm around the person to make sure their chest is rising and falling okay. Funny how snoring can be a very comforting thing for that reason.
I totally agree about the effects of an unsolicited smile from a stranger. That's actually why I chose the college I went to, and part of why I love P-town. Smiles out the wazoo.
I think that is sweet. You are a sweet concerned friend. Why do you think that you are afraid of an overnight guest dying in their sleep? Maybe you had a bad dream about it when you were young.
Oooooooh share share share! Any world beat yumminess rocks my socks! Quite literally so, although I have no socks on, as Im dancing and prancing all around the room at the moment, too.
the bedtime stories are already written and complete. printed even. they are all 8 pages long so i don't think i will reach your word count request......
you're so cute.
why is it that we concentrate so much energy on understanding people that we hate. it seems we know so much more about them than people that we love...maybe i am the only one that thinks this.
