At long last I have become a member of the grown up crowd!
I've always felt a little out of the loop when my friends and I would visit their favorite coffee shop - I was simply a social outcast.
I HATE coffee! It makes me feel ill and I can't stand the smell... in the air or on some ones breath. I would shyly order a hot chocolate which would arrive with a mountain of whip cream and all the other kiddy fix'ins. My grownup friends would give me their half smiles and take a one step away when it arrived.
Then the glory moment happened... someone exposed me to Chi Tea. I'm still hanging on to my kiddy milk needs by making it a Chi Latte but at least I can pretend that I'm cool. Hang with my super cool Chi, thinking about the current state of the planets and their alignment to my Chi... or is it Che, I always get that mixed up
At any rate, it's official - I'm cool and all my coffee house friends support me in my hot beverage choice. There's hope for still!

I'd say that if she was big on the eye contact there's a good chance that she was fishing, since I'll generally be friendly to customers, but reserve asking non-work-related questions to those customers I *really* want to get to know better.
