even when i wake
far too early
it's with a casual calm
and a clean mind

the bay area
is finally feeling like
home
and home is never a bad thing

she told me to move here
a year ago
i wasn't ready then
wasn't ready even when i did
move here
but if one reads signs
and my eyes cannot keep from
interpreting symbols
and postings
then i must be on the proper path

creating the art i want
and getting paid for it
living the life i desire
and getting the validation for that, too
is a blessed thing
