Weekend Update.

1. I'm in mourning because my IPOD died...AGAIN. This is now the second time its completely fucked up. My friend tells me the version I have is supposedly the most buggy generation of IPOD. I just think Apple hates me, and their shit doesn't work for me...ever.

2. Lots of fights this weekend on ESPN, HBO and Showtime.

3. I've got a lot of work, but I don't have the books to do it. I am such a great student at times...

4. I'm ordering my tickets for the Gold Cup semis and final in Chicago this summer. Should be a good time, let me know if any of you are making the trip.

5. Celtic/Motherwell early tomorrow and the MLS season opener, which I'll probably sleep through because I was up watching Celtic.

6. Twins vs. White Sox, unless they cancel it because its "too cold" again. Seriously this sport needs to either man up and play or schedule games in warm weather places early in the season to avoid this.

yes it very much based on "paying your dues" but its ultimately the promoters choice what happens to your character. If he's got a good diea, he'll run with it, and just make sure eveyone else gets work. None of us in THIS promotino get paid, so we're all there just trying to ply our craft and get some footage to put on our own highlight reels

How were the fights this weekend? i did not know you were a boxing fan! I taped Castillo on Showtime to watch today (it's easy to stay unware of results as the NYT rarely covers the sport, and I just avoid the Ring) as I had a whole weekend of MLS. Sigh. 12 games in one day with UK, Spain, France, Argentina and elsewhere.

The Houston-LA game on Sunday was good, but the rest of the weekend was rather tepid. the NYRB/CC game was tuff to slog through.

That DUFC game was super -- it might be on Setanta USA today, actually.
