Six reasons why this weekend could be fucking awesome (or potentially suck balls to the point I start crying and sulk for the next few days):
There is a potential AMAZING weekend on tap...either that or it could be one of those absolutely horrible ones, like my week has been going so far.
However, coming off the success that was my Microteaching Lesson on Vikings, I think things have taken a turn for the better.
Why could this weekend be awesome?
1. Right now as I write this, I am watching Ernie Reyes Jr (the pizza guy from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2) destroy people in ISKA Kickboxing on ESPN Classic. Bad ass. If that isn't a good omen, I don't know what is.
2. THREE count them THREE premium boxing cards. Showtime has their Next Generation card on Friday and a Heavyweight Championship between Sergei Liakhovich and Shannon Briggs on Saturday. Not to mention later that night the welterweight championship of the world between Carlos Baldomir vs. Floyd Mayweather is on HBO PPV.
3. The horrible Gophers take on my college Indiana University at the Metrodome in a battle of epic proportions. Will the Gophers continue to suck balls? Will Mason finally be fired if the Gophers lose? Will Indiana win and get to a bowl for the first time since 1993? We watch with baited breath. If you even have to ask, I'm rooting for the team I always do, Minnesota.
4. Vikings vs. 49ers. FINALLY the easy Bears schedule kicks in for the Vikings. Hopefully they can put a run together beating up on the worst teams in the NFL and then become overhyped like some other teams I know.
The Bears are good, but honestly...they haven't really played anyone of note. So no one knows if they are just good or great yet. I will give credit when credit is due. If they get by the Pats, they are legit.
5. Celtic vs. Hearts. They've only played 12 games in the SPL so far...but if Celtic win Saturday Paddypower.com, a betting site, will pay out for Celtic winning the league (when its not even half over) at the earliest time in league history.
6. Lastly, I'm probably going to do absolutely no work this weekend even though I really need to.

I am gonna do my apartment hunting online most likey. Its probably not as efficient but I cannot afford to go out there. I can but it will set me back to much money.
