Well, I'm heading out in four days. Gone, leaving, moving, changing, all of that. It seems I'm going right when I was starting to settle here in Utah. I can't say a whole lot of it will be missed. It's dry, it's cold, it's hot, it's restrictive, so on and so forth - but one thing it has is rebels. I'll miss those rebels. Because of the Mormon population, there are a lot of young people that shove that away and go out and do their own thing. Unfortunately, that means that those who do rebel end up going and doing the same thing all of their other little scene friends are doing. I'm not going to knock it, I've a soft spot in my heart for conformist kids as long as they look cool to me. It will be nice, though, to be in a place where everyone and their auntie don't listen to the same music I do or dress the same way I dress or do the same things I do. Also, and, it will be nice to be in a place where the best concept of a late night is drinking or drugging up and doing things you'll not regret because you probably won't remember them.
Of course, where I'm headed, the general idea of a night out is brawling and cow-tipping.
Not a big huge positive shift there, innit. But that's okay. It's a change, at least.

The one thing I'll probably miss the most (besides the large stock of attractive young women), however, are the sunsets.
Anywhere from the entire evening to a few brief moments, everything is pink and gold and beautiful.
I will miss that, for sure.
