thestate:
hey, at least you don't LIVE here.

i was unfortunately in "the mall" last night also... roosevelt field, i presume? what a dreadful place.
panthro:
i'm glad your mom is okay.

ya gotta watch those tricky branches, they pop out of nowhere!

i'm on the island as well so if you want to escape the fams for a little while let me know!
nadzofsteel:
Hudson River, doll. There's a trail that goes from Battery Park all the way up to the George Washington Br.

God bless wrist guards.
illstabyou:
The childrens across the street from me are rollerbading on the sidewalk as I type this. They all have helmets and knee pads on. Lame!

On a side note, I tried on my suit this morning, to see if it still fits, and I look damn handsome. I'm really full of myself today. I'll shush.

PS -- Glad your mom's okay. smile
basil123:
I hope your mother recovers quickly kiss

What's wrong with Long Island?
lolablu:
Mm hmm. Whenever my mom is down and out, my father and brother show their unhelpful side, too.
acidslug:
Well, I decided just to accept the guilt and drink them. Honestly, there wasn't really a chance of any other outcome, which is kind of sad. Except for the part where I get a bunch of wine, I guess. That part is not so sad.

None of my NYC experiences involved Long Island. Apparently, this is also not so sad.
strongmad:
I think an actual camp built by Strong Mad would be a disaster. And the tire needs no guarding. Who is going to hurt it? The Homestarmy is obviously no threat. smile

Good call on the wrist guards. The night of my birthday party, I chased a car with my pirate sword and ate it on the road, instinctually putting my hands out to catch myself. One of my wrists is STILL killing me, and this was more than three months ago.

Hope you survive family. And that your mom gets well soon.
judypatricia:
Haven't seen it. I've been meaning to.

Where in Long Island? When I was in the sixth grade, I lived in Commack for a couple of months. Ha.

I fucking hate Long Island

Awww kiss

Glad your mom's okay. Are you still on the Island?
Other than along the Hudson River, you can also skate along the East River. Basically, there is a path around the edge of Manhattan! You can also skate in Central Park. Or grab your passport and head out to Brooklyn!!! There's an awesome bike/skate path that runs from the Brooklyn Bridge all the way down the edge of Brooklyn, under the Verazzano, to Coney Island and way beyond, all the way into Queens. It's actually quite pretty out there!
