Offices can be bearable. I don't like open plan but learn to make the building work for me - know where to go to read, think or other parts.

I went to the Expo this weekend. There was so much unique Hello Kitty stuff there, you wouldn't have known what to do.

Dislike of offices is normal. Anyone who actually likes them rather then just puts up with them is weird.

mat8drb is right - find a trick that makes it liveable to you. My last job had a three cornered flight of stairs that I discovered I could take in 3 leaps. Loads of fun every time you need to go downstairs
