Vodka and me have a bad history. I once had the bottle to myself thing and managed to down most of it in two drinks, straight (about a quart sized bottle). Well I thought I was getting sober because I could do things like spell milk. To give you a better idea, I was actually holding a small carton of milk and could still manage to recognize and say the letters. I don't remember any of the evening past this point. What I do remember is waking up covered in... well let's just say every end expelled (thank God I had a change of clothes). I later found out that I was getting a little amorous with a girl (whom I had known since I was 6) until I threw up. That kind of puts a damper on things, but I would not have remembered it anyway so, oh well.
Vodka and I have sort of made amends since then but I confine my imbibing to better brands now, kettle one and absolute. No more Kamchatka, and I usually mix it.
My friend is now Jim Beam, but he and I do not visit often.
