I love your side piece...the dancer...I'm hoping for some nice Orangey-Red fire glow with this new tattoo. And colors similar to yours would fit perfectly :o) I hope mine turns out just as well, I'm stoked for tomorrow night!
...Sadly my friend Joe who was going to tattoo me tonight has been having to deal with "normal" people/clones who want "awesome" FLASH tattooed on them. So we rescheduled mine to tomorrow evening... :o/
The little keyhole in the phoenix is angled with my vain so when they draw my blood they know where to go. lol. but I wanted to go with an intricate "iron gate" or "lace" type of feel for the piece. Once it is shaded in with more black I think It will pop even more with the colors helping the contrast...
I'm going back in next Tuesday to finish up the shading but this is it for now. Let me know what you think :o)
It's the first real color piece I've gotten but my grey scaled mind is loving it. lol. I can't wait to get the shading down for the phoenix and the arrow!
I'm glad you all enjoy it. I love it. lol. It did seem to take a little longer to heal in the area around my elbow. With all the bending and all the feathers leading to that area; but It's just about all finished healing. :o) ...I can't wait for my next one. ...either a big, old, creepy/spooky skeleton key....Or...the start of whats going to be a 1950's inspired classic horror sleeve to tie in with the phoenix? regardless of which, Im ready. Christmas present to myself? maybe. :o)
