shellymc:
I fucking love "Queen"!
sorry....i dropped the F bomb.
Sounds like a nice tribute indeed....
no one can replace Freddie...
but it's good to hear that they somehow included him in this concert biggrin
I was a huge new wave chick back in the eighties, but because of my older brother...i always had a huge appreciation for classic rock from sixties, seventies and early eighties.
I love the velvet underground also....
"Venus in furs" is one of my all time favorite songs. I actually danced to it in a play i was in when living in n.y.c biggrin
shellymc:
amongst my friends in the 80's i was the new wave queen.
I love punk rock as well, but something about the old synth bands and my love for dancing just clicked biggrin
but my guilty pleasure is seventies music..
I suppose it's because it is the time i really started listening to the radio and really appreciate music, but some of the stuff i listen to from that era is downright embarassing!
toothpickmoe:
I've heard good things about this incarnation of Queen. It's nice when someone gets it right for once.
shellymc:
Sgt. Peppers.... freaked me out when i was younger!
I'm sure if i watched it now, i'd probably appreciate it a bit more wink
surlymike:
Ahh, thanks for the review as it closely resembles my perspective and review of the recent Seattle show! biggrin

I probably should have written more about the show I saw, but, well, I'm a lazy f*cker sometimes. smile
