waitformetoturnblue:
The best lager I ever had came from Austria. Fucking-A, that was a good beer.
sosbanfach:
@waitformetoturnblue I definitely do like some Germanic beers, most of Northern Europe has it aced tbf. The best lager (Pilsner) I've had was in Prague, fresh out of the breweries in the city with sod all preservatives. Top stuff. But my favourite beers are little golden ales from Belgium. Oooh yes. I've totally got to go to the shop on the way home now...
elizathetroll:
That's a good biccie for sure. Personally I always go for the dark chocolate one, of course.
sosbanfach:
@elizathetroll I'm definitely a milk over dark kinda person but I can appreciate that. Same choc bic ratio at least!
memorandom:
(adjusts nerd glasses) I think those are from Lidl, not Aldi. Though I may be wrong - but they are bloody good, and it is ALL about the chocolate to biscuit ratio.
sosbanfach:
@memorandom they're an actual German brand as opposed to an Aldi or lidl fake so you should possibly find them in either. They're currently a quid in my local co-op which is lovely!! And yes it's the most important of all ratios!
zootzoot:
the "less cooky more choc"-version is done by Ritter Sport, a German choc manufacturer. https://www.ritter-sport.de/de/produkte/detail/Knusperkeks-00001 ... the "Sport" in the brand name by the way does not refer to any low calories stuff or eating chocolate making you oh so sportive. It was because of the rectangular pocket size that made it easy to take it with you to sports events.
sosbanfach:
@zootzoot Ritter Sport? Check you out, posh! I can't get them for a quid in the co-op.
memorandom:
Yeah, Lidl and Aldi make their own, with no Bahls-en. . . .  I'll get my coat.
limbofish:
these cookies! absolute german classics butter cookie with chocolate. id kill for them :P
sosbanfach:
@limbofish we'll have absolutely none of that "cookie" talk in here, we're British they're biscuits 😉😘
limbofish:
oh i see ... so i gonna call them what they actually are: German Kekse! :)
sosbanfach:
@limbofish I'll allow it! Danke fur die kekse!
