haha, i think an ewok might be too big and too anthropomorphic for my comfort. that might just creep me out having one of those around. i need something smaller and fuzzy, like this Hoth Wampa + Dog
i hear you about the online dating thing. i've activated/deactivated my OKC/PoF/Match profiles more times than i can remember, each time becoming more disillusioned and turned off by the process and many of the people. i think you're right, that appearances are the main selling point of those sites, more so than they are IRL. for average looking dudes like us, having to get our personalities across the digital realm is more challenging, and means an investment of time by the person on the other end. and unfortunately, i don't think many people on those sites are willing to invest that time. (which sort of belies one of the fundamental advantages of site-based meeting, IMO.)
