im looking to move still, we found an awesome house and were going to take it but the landlord was super shady. when we were there he said security deposit was first last and security... understandable thats pretty much the standard. but when we got the lease it was NON REFUNDABLE 4 months rent wtf?! so he lied to us about that. then in the lease it says "tennents are responsible for any and all repairs" dude seriously? im renting from you its not my fucking house! and it said we could be evicted for any reason he sees fit. which wouldnt be that big of a deal because its kind of hard to evict someone but he is a lawyor so he has all the laws and regulations on his side. and the rent was fucking due before the 1st? who does that i have never lived anywhere where the rent was due any day but the 1st. the only problem looked like a crack in the wall, but when we asked him what the crack was from he had no idea and said it had been there forever and wasnt going to fix it.... and the fridge smelled funny. what if that crack was from water damage? what if there was more? he was more concerned with selling us the house then telling us if there was anything wrong with it... which i can understand but the house was an old old house, there are going to be problems things are going to break. but tell us first! we understand the place is old and probably has electrical and or heating problems.... i just hated how shady he was. and he was an immagration lawyer... fuck that dude the lease was fucking 8 pages! and im prettty sure it was a TL;DR type thing where he expects noone to actually read it. fuck that shit so now back to square one
