Likewise my friend, as for the long distance thing, one of the girls I know at work told me the other day that her boyfriend lives in Lancashire which is about 70 odd miles away from where she lives and I know another who's other half lives in Wolverhampton which is a 2 hour plus drive away so it can work if you put the effort in. As for the whole football thing I'm not really into it myself but as mat8drb said there's plenty of pubs to watch it in, there'll be a few in the city centre for sure. They're generally the kind of places I avoid though, pissed up footie fans don't really take kindly to the alternative element in my experience.
Yeah it wasnt really my finest hour to be honest. If i had the power I'd totally fire the moron who thought it'd be a good idea to go over there. I'm not interested anymore, cos she's got kids and stuff...but thats just gonna make me look even creepier when I no longer acknowledge her.
