ok, shit. i may have to get back to work soon, but i'll write in this journal thing before i split. i'll be amazed if anyone reads it, but whatever.
hi. people call me skwerl, so that's my name. i'm in philadelphia now where i was born & pseudo-raised, but i'm heading to san diego soon for who knows how long. those two cities are my two favorite so far. i love to travel but a lot of places suck. like michigan, and new jersey. i spend a lot of time staring at a mac because my job kinda requires it. so every once in awhile i go looking for distractions and that's how i found this place. it kinda rocks.
today i played some songs on bass with one of my oldest and best friend's hardcore anarchist punk band. it's not the kind of music i listen to sitting around the house, but it's fun as hell to play. i feel like a jerk playing with them, learning all the songs, planning to play shows and stuff while everyone knows i'm only gonna be around for another month or so, but i'm gonna enjoy it while it lasts. pretty much my approach to life in general these days.
so what *do* i listen to sitting around the house? hey, glad you asked. today it was the new massive attack album and the last one tracy chapman put out. and some anthrax too. i have tons of music and i love it all.
so the other day i found out where this cute girl i'd seen around town lived, and i went to her house out of the blue to try and get together with her. she has a cool name by the way. amazingly, i think she went for it, and she seems to dig me, but it would be nice if she called me back soon because i'm a little lonely. distracting myself with music and suicidegirls.
