Grrr
So I was asked to help run a gig at a protest site, for a mates birthday. We were to supply all the gear as obviously living in a woodland for 6 years (some of them have been...) they didn't have all the required clobber. So we, as ever, loaded up all the amps, a generator etc and got there. We had a lot of help getting the gear in to the marquee despite the torenttial rain and hail, and we eventually got set up. Unfortunately, I was expecting a peaceful kind of protest site with perhaps a lot of cider and maybe the odd spliff or 2. Instead it soon degenerated into people snorting coke and smacking up in front of their kids and people invading the band area and abusing equipment. Also some of the 'hardcore' threating our contingent of followers saying they're not welcome and if they don't fuck off there'll be trouble. Yet they appeal for people to go up there and support them. So we pulled the plug and took the gear - I'm quite immaterial most of the time but blatant abuse of my and other peoples equipment is just out of order. My mate, birthday boy, looked gutted, but I can't help that. So now everyone I took thinks that what it's all about and any other decent protest will never gain their support because of a few idiots.
Party and protest - hmmph
However, the other day me and the girl went to see V for Vendetta and it's my new favourite film. It's fucking awesome.

I love James Carville because he's ridiculous. He mumbles and has a really weird voice which is just fun to listen to and he's just a snarky old man. I'd marry him in a second.

Also, your picture creeps me out. I hate masks.
