There was nothing inspiring about the Cyrus thing, but the girl always gets the blame. It was the Thicke dude's crappy song, and he gets off more or less scot-free. Not to mention that the VMA folks signed off on the whole thing. You know the backroom convo was something like "We can push the line as much as we want, and if it all goes south everyone will blame the girl."
