I went to my new primary doctor today so he could have a look at my MRI., give me the results of my lab work, and refill my pain medication.
The good news is I don't have diabetes and he gave me more pain meds. He also seem like a really informed and competent physician who cares about his patient's quality of life. He said it's a shame to see a thirty year old on a cane and he wants to help me get my youth back.
Now for the bad news. I have high cholesterol and I might have hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). He also thought my MRI results look pretty grim. He said that the disc look very herniated and I should see a spinal surgeon.
The good news is that he gave me a referral to the best spinal surgeon in the area.
The bad news is that the spinal surgeon is in Connecticut.
Looks like I'm taking a daytrip to Connecticut.
