I've really been enjoying the endless summer over here, going swimming and tanning every day, just awesome! Which reminds me of one of my favorite movies:

The big story over here is the arrest of Roman Polanski, the famous French/Polish movie director, during the Zurich Film Festival. He pleaded guilty for having unconsensual sex with a 13 year-old back in 1978 and then fleed the US. Looks as if he's going to face the music after all. Good, I say. Many in the artistic community are outraged about this. I don't get it, just because he's a movie icon shouldn't give him the right to be above the law.

I received my last full salary this week. From now on it's just 70% of what I used to earn. Definitely have to watch my spending. I really hope a new job comes up soon.

Really digging two new tunes from bands I usually don't listen to. "Utopia" from Within Temptation, a monster ballad, slightly on the cheesy side, but still very good.
